Sunglasses in 100 % beta-titanium

Three of our six models are entirely beta-titanium — front and temples, no acetate, no steel: CAPTÆN, STRÆTOS and HÆLO.

For wider faces, CAPTÆN and STRÆTOS are the obvious choice. Both measure 58 millimetres lens width, the largest in the range. CAPTÆN in the classic teardrop shape at 20 grams and 49.5 millimetres lens height, STRÆTOS squared at 19 grams. HÆLO runs noticeably narrower at 50 millimetres and weighs 17 grams.

Why all-metal rather than hybrid

A pure titanium frame is lighter than any acetate combination and can be adjusted at the temple without the material giving way. Beta-titanium bends and returns to its original shape — which is why these three adapt to the head instead of pressing against it. Under a headset too.

Titanium contains no nickel. For anyone with a contact allergy that removes the cause, not just the symptom.

All three with UV400 lenses, filter category 3, anti-reflective, scratch-resistant and non-polarised.
